Every time I open the application it shows the home screen and doesn't load could you please fix the bugs

Ads? No thanks.

Good for news but sometimes slow to open and often the same story is on their headline page twice. I don't like the ads in the middle of the headlines page are really annoying and block the headlines. The page also doesn't scroll all the way down and you can't see the last headline. The weather section is great, I love the forecasts and videos.

Like the setup of categories but having to click on a link the brings you to safari is awful. Secondly some articles tend to have a terrible lack of proof reading!

How long does it take for a review to be posted? I already submitted my review, wanted to submit another brief point, but was unable to do so. Today is 4/3/2013-last update was 3/26/2013. Focus on the app & timely, accurate updates! I'd be happy to help all the frustrated users that want Boston news star!

I've stopped using this app. Making you jump to Safari to read the rest of a story is quite lame. Will read Boston news elsewhere.

Terrible how there are links that open up the wcvb website in safari. What's the point of the app then? Then the link gives you one sentence and then you have to hit next and load another cite to get one more sentence.

The new updates actually make it worse. I tried deleting it off my phone and downloading it again but no help at all. I can't even load anything up but I get notifications. FIX IT!

This app used to run excellent, until I updated it. Now it won't load at all!

Used to like this but the recent updates make it crash and I can't load stories... ***update: reinstall the app and it should work after the most recent update

I rely on this app in the morning for weather video-cast and to get local news. Since the update, the video-cast doesn't load and slide shows show a small portion of a picture (not enough to even know what/who you're looking at). I wish I never updated :( Funnier still, as I tried to write this review, someone else's review kept popping up for me to send. I had to erase it and type over in the same message. I'm assuming that's apple's issue?

What's the point of a news app where every other article has you exit the app to open a browser. It's frustrating, really frustrating.

Please fix this finally. It's not crashing but the stories won't load. I'm ready to delete this crap app.

My 'Go to" app for local news updates is back up and running stable --- Stability became an issue a week ago and the developer apparently responded quickly! Thank you!

This used to my favorite local news app until the recent updates! Video cast consistently crashes app. How many updates does it take to fix this?

Thanks for the spoiler of best picture Oscar Award. My wife and I had it recorded and catching up to live TV when this App sent out an alert giving away the news of who won. So much for urgent news alerts... more like (insert witty non vulgar PC BS).

Had a problem with old app and the scrolling but that's peanuts next to the new update, I can't even get in! Wish I had come and read reviews before allowing the update. Guess it's time to check out the other local news apps.

The WCVB app was useful during Hurricane Sandy, and indispensable during the Blizzard. I watched live, streaming news and weather coverage right on my phone. They kept the critical information flowing. Awesome job as always folks!

Downloaded WCVB's mobile app fix yesterday. Well, it didn't fix anything as I still can't access the site. Held out hope that a real fix was in-store. Looking elsewhere now for my news. Very frustrated they can't assemble the right personnel to fix the bug(s). They shouldn't had changed a thing. Their original site was fine.

New update claimed to be based on feedback, but awful ads between stories are still there. I only watch WCVB news, so downloaded the app, but probably won't keep it. It's terrible now.

I loved this app, but I did the update & now I can't even get in! I ended up deleting it... Can you bring back the app as it was before the update? Thanks!

Once I downloaded it, it caused significant battery drain and the phone was warm during standby indicating that something was running in the background. Had to restore my iphone and of course avoid installing any WCVB version. After restoring the phone, the battery life went back to what it was before the download.

This used to be a pretty good app. Recent changes have made the home screen too busy with distractive adds (the news lines are lost) and once you get to a news story, many of them open to a secondary page that requires you to scroll through multiple screens to get the story (I.e. it makes you keep hitting a next button). I'm actually thinking of deleting what used to be a favorite app.

I agree with reviewers. The recent upgrade if this app does not open easily nor allow the user to use the entire news site. Will likely seek another source-too bad. The previous version was ok, I thought.

New articles almost half the time are just a few sentences then have a web link. Don't waste your time with this app. Old version was much better with actual articles you could read without leaving the app. I have to wonder what they were thinking with these changes.

Keeps crashing

It doesn't open and it was my only news source. If you don't fix it quickly I will find another source. Had to give it one star because they make you.

As with all the other reviews over the past few days - this app crashes every time you open it - you cannot even open a news story in the app, deeming it pointless. Hopefully this will get resolved ASAP.

I wish I read the reviews, I would have never updated. The app will send alerts when I go to read them the app crashes immediately. Unless this gets fixes I will change the rating!

I love the channel 5 news & this app was great since I live in CT & don't get WCVB on satellite but now it just crashes all the time! I'm glad it's optimized for the iPhone 5 now but fix the crashing please!

Crashes constantly more ads please fix

I loved this app but now it won't even load.

In my previous review of the last version, I said that it was by far my favorite news app. --- This new version takes up so much more of my iPhone 4s screen with large ads, that it's frustrating to read! --- The whole reconfiguration is a disappointment, but I'm such a WCVB fan I hope things will improve. --- PLEASE OFFER A PAID VERSION WITHOUT ADS!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be happy to pay!!! This app went from the best to the WORST NEWS APP in one update!!!

App will not even open anymore. FIX IT! Zero stars.

Last update killed it. Doesn't even open. I am missing my news and guess I will switch apps.

I used to love this app! But Ever since the most recent update it crashes shorty after its been opened. Such a shame cuz i relied on this app for all my news. I had to delete it😥. Major bummer!

Repeated crashing within seconds since update.

Can't even select my interests to set up the app. The buttons do not work. Frustrating. Useless.

Other than that: It's got a friendly layout, is intuitive and easy to use. Some of the content changes daily. Much of it doesn't, especially on the weekends. I wish it was kept a little more up to date.

This app was the best of Boston ... Then it was "fixed" Now it's deleted

This was my favorite news app. No longer opens but after seeing the reviews complaining about all of the ads maybe that's for the best. Deleted.
