I spend more time using this app than I'd care to admit. Aside from listening in on various scanners out of curiosity and for entertainment on a lazy night, this app has been invaluable on more than one occasion when I've been stuck in traffic. It's one thing to hear the AM radio warn of "heavy traffic." It's a whole lot more helpful, however, to hear over the scanner, "local police units are shutting down the entire southbound freeway." My buddy and I lucked out and took the nearest exit before traffic had slowed all the way from a slow moving trickle to a complete stop. This app comes in more handy than you'd think. 5/5 I highly recommend this app.

Good for being aware of highway and neighborhood events.

Works perfect. Same channels on radio as Winamp love it.

No way to search Chanel's in your area and looses server more often than not. Needs lots of fixes but since this is a low review it won't get posted anyway so look for another app

Works good just can not get it to shut off and the pop ads wont go away. I paid for an i have no control over.

Cool app

I really like the scanner feature and that you can listen to different things not only all over the country but all over the world. And it has great little radio stations on it as well. I like to listen to some of the old Dragnet radio scenes they're pretty cool. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to program the frequencies and so you could listen to your own local police fire and aviation

Best App for its purpose. Live in the SW Florida Trop Storm Belt. Excellent Feed from NWS & Local Emergency Management Cntrs. Falls short on FL Lee County/Major City and State Police General BCast. Am an Aviation Buff very limited Feed of FAA Cntr, Approach and Airport Ground/Emergency BCast. These nets are available via a cheap Radio Shack scanner, know its called a Police Scanner but lotta other BCasts are included. Why not here! Developer needs to add "feedback" feature. Why wash dirty laundry at the App Store.

We use this app all the time. Keeps us up to the minute with what's happening in our town. Love it!

I love this app. But i can't use it for more than a few minutes at a time. This app depletes the battery at a very fast rate, and makes my phone overheat to the point that the phone shuts down due to thermal overload. Then I can't use my phone until it cools down sufficiently to work again. Sorry, that's a deal breaker. I'm test driving replacement apps.

Why would almost every county in VIRGINIA not have a police station available to listen to?!?!? I was able to listen to it before and all of sudden it's gone, smells like salmon and trout!!!!!!!

Works as advertised and in the background. You can use other apps while listening.

It's great

Despite it's name this app is NOT a scanner so don't expect to be able to turn it on and listen to your local police. I see one review down there where someone living in a rural area apparently thought it would turn his phone into a scanner. It does not, not is any phone physically capable of being turned into one. What this app does is plays scanner feeds over the Internet. If someone has a feed for a particular department then chances are it can be found here. The only downside is that you cannot choose what channels to listen to on some systems. Carrollton, TX police and fire, for example, are both on one feed so you'll hear PD talking about grabbing donuts while missing all the traffic on FD about the 25 alarm fire with a dozen helicopters brought down by men from the moon. But this is not the fault of the app itself so I won't count it against the developer. What did cost them a star, however, is this stupid advertisement that pops up whenever the app is opened. I don't even know what it is. I just click the 'go away' button (I don't even know what the button I am looking for says haha) and get on with my scanning. I wish people would stop advertising, it's not effective.

Was a good app until I found that it wanted to use my rear camera, and will not open if I don't allow it to use it

Didn't do much for me. Rural area...not even surrounding counties available.

5 star love it

I use this on my phone to listen to other counties ems and fire frequencies when I am sitting around. It helps me know what might be coming our way.
