Shows exactly how many cents (1/100ths of a semitone) a note is out-of-tune.
★ Extremely accurate - within 1 cent (1/100th of a semitone) of each note with sub-second response time.
★ Developed in Austin, Texas, the "Live Music Capital of the World".
★ Use the standard tuning E-A-D-G-B-E or one of many alternate tunings: regular tunings such as Minor Third, special tunings such Drop D, open tunings such Open C, lower tunings, higher tunings.
★ Adjust pitch incrementally from 400 to 480 Hz or up/down a half/full step from A440. (The International Organization for Standardization specifies the frequency for the note A in the treble stave as 440 Hz. ISO 16:1975).
★ Tap to hear an accurate note if tuning by ear instead of using visual tuning.
★ Enable/disable Auto-string-detect (not recommended for noisy environments).

App works great! Would like to see an update for 7 string guitars, can tune it by ear but for dropped steps would be nice to have.
It wasn't as advertised... It would not allow me to do any lower tunings or my own tunings. It didn't pick up on sound that well either... I'm looking for another tuner that's more versatile.

The description could be better. I was hoping for more open tunings! Looking for open E and it's not there. Thought the open tunings would be more extensive.

Worst app I want my money back crashes every 2 seconds can't even open
Previous review says background noise is a problem. Lol. Really? Lol. Try tuning a guitar by ear with background noise. Lets see how you do. I sit my iPhone on my knee and strum the strings. Works flawlessly. Now, if you are new to playing a guitar, I can see where you might have trouble strumming the strings. That's your problem, not the fault of the app. Lol
The display is clear. It doesn't deal well with background noise. Doesn't always register unless you are very very close to it and strike the string very cleanly in the middle.
Just needs iPhone 5 widescreen support!

Works great but I wish it would have tuning setting for seven string , eight string and bass guitars.
... My ipod could pick up the deep tones when i'm tuning to drop C. Aside from this one flaw, this is the perfect tuner for anything sharper then 2 steps down.
I have been playing for 17 years, I wish I had this over the junky hand held tuners that never seem to pick up the low E. great app

I use this whenever I practice or play guitar. The tone monitor that shows plus or minus cents is very intuitive.
Had the opportunity to try it side by side with a $20 tuner and it was just as accurate and easier to read

I am a novice Guitar Player but I know well enough that this is probably one of the best guitar tuners I've come across. I rarely use the Martin Aura tuner that came with my guitar. So much easier and more precise with this iPad app. Initially it is very easy to see where you're at during tuning. Gets the whole picture throughout the sustaining after striking a chord. I like that.

When I bought this app I didn't expect much but boy was I wrong! I have two guitars, both acoustic, one I recently got and one I've had for 5/6 years. My electric tuner broke so I wanted to try this because its $17 cheaper. I'm glad I did it tunes the same if not better than an electric tuner. It's easy to operate and tunes my guitars the way I love for them to sound!
