C'mon on Suntrust, seriously???? why bother? The app never works. No notification alerts. I am seriously thinking about going back to BOA because everything was so convenient outside of the branch! Their app provide it all. Every-single-account-transaction sends a notification to my phone immediately, with account balance, ect. If Bank of America can do it, so can you, Suntrust.

Latest update included a Remember Me toggle so u don't have to enter ur user name every time u sign on. TOO BAD IT DOESNT WORK! Last version remembered ur user name automatically. Aren't updates supposed to improve user functionality???
The first time I tried to deposit a check, it worked perfectly. It has never worked properly since, rejecting every check for one or more spurious reasons. It's a great idea, but poorly implemented.
I can only log into this app 10% of the time I try to use it, the other 90% it says my ID and password don't match... Terrible Terrible Terrible
Look at the chase mobile banking app, easy to navigate around, simple, reliable, and comes with many features. This app is garbage in comparison and I hate having to go to the bank because of it, as a student I don't have the time for it.
Honestly, I just wish I could log onto this thing at night without the app being down constantly.
The only problem I have encounter is the depositing of a check. The application regularly indicates the check is not endorsed when it is enforced. I need to place the check on a dark background for the flash to auto turn on when I take pictures of the check. Generally failure to get the IPhone to flash when I take the picture of the check will not allow the application to accept the deposit and indicates it is not endorsed when in fact the check are enforced! If the application automatically turns on the flash to take the picture or allow the user to change the setting on the flash it might resolve the frustration that I and many are having. I love the fact that I can deposit the checks with the APP. I just wish they fix it to resolve the flash issue explained above! Fix it and we will all be very happy! Ed
An iPad app would be great as well as an optimized iphone5 app. Suntrust is a day late and a buck short compared to other banks. App is down way too much also.
This app is a waste of time I was looking forward to depositing my check from my phone without going to the bank but no luck. People just get paid to make bull----. A waste of my time and everyone else

PLEASE update for iPhone 5. If I wanted my screen resolution/size to be smaller, I wouldn't have upgraded my phone. Please upgrade the screen size on this app. Pleased otherwise.
I have not had an issue with this app, it just needs to be optimized for the iPhone 5. The new iPhone is coming out soon also, suntrust needs to catch up.
This app is terrible. It rejects my user id and password 99% of the time. Wish suntrust would get with the times and fix it.
This happens more times than not and is really frustrating. This may not be the apps fault but SunTrust definitely needs to address this. Also why has the app still not been updated for the iPhone 5??

Mobile deposit needs MAJOR improvement. Most other features in this app are useful and have few bug issues. Every time the camera comes up, the app crashes. This gets irritating after attempting 10-12 times, deleting the app, downloading again, and getting the same result. Mobile deposit is one reason why I joined SunTrust. Please fix this ASAP.
I've used this app mostly for mobile deposit. Lately, it has been crashing in the middle of the process - mostly taking pictures of the check or actually submitting the deposit. It becomes less convenient when you have to enter your deposits several times. I'll go to the teller instead.
I have loved having this app for several months. I get small expense reimbursement checks every week so I particularly like the Deposit A Check feature. Unfortunately, this feature has been broken for a few weeks, first giving a message that the check hadn't been endorsed and then it changed to just shutting down the app after taking a picture of the check. This is very frustrating and even more so because it's impossible to find out if the problem is even being addressed or not. Giving it only one star today, would have been five stars a month ago.
Since I have downloaded this app it has let me log in ZERO times. It is so frustrating that I get "service is currently unavailable" every single time. Thanks suntrust for the quality app.
I'm not sure why the comments on here are never read and the app has not been updated. First of all the iPhone 5 have been out for nearly a YEAR and there's no support yet? You have to be kidding. Furthermore the crashes exist not only in the mobile check deposit but almost everywhere in the app, still no fixes at all and no help from sun-trust customer service. Think of it as calling an appliance repair man to look at your car. They know nothing but "uninstall and try again". Overall a horrible app that I have to continue to use because it's essential. I advise anyone looking for a bank to keep looking as that's what I'm going to do and tell my family members to switch as well.
Will not let me log in. I can log in through my laptop but the app says something is wrong with my account and won't log me in. I don't recommend this app to anyone. It used to work fine, now something is wrong, please fix the app I used to be very helpful on the go... Now I have to call in to get my balance which is quite annoying.. Try to take the front and back photo of the check you're depositing before typing in your amount. Every time I typed the amount before taking a picture it would crash. Just take the pictures first and it should work just fine.
I haven't been able to make deposits. When I'm taking the picture of the check, it logs off. I log in again for one more try, and I get the unavailable message.
This app is absolutely horrible. I have the 4s and it never allows me to log on. Always tells me there's something wrong with my log in info when I know there isn't and logging in works fine on my lap top. So much for mobile banking. This app is a joke.
Couldn't really use the deposite feature, which I loved, because of the amount limit. Although, the limit was recently increased, but now the app closes down every time I get ready to take a picture of the check. Please, fix this...

Error message between midnight and 8am almost every day that says "mobile banking is unavailable". This app is almost as bad as the suntrust website. Almost.
Seems like everytime I need to use the app to access my checking account the system is unavailable and I still have to call. The mobile check deposit is cool but I normally have to take the pictures of the check multiple time for the app to recognize it. Looking forward to an update.
Never works and it doesn't have iphone 5 support.
I have deposited several checks. Sometimes it works, sometimes doesn't. And other times it has deposited money into the wrong account.

The suntrust mobile banking app stinks. It doesn't work. If you enjoy watching a loading screen for long periods of time, followed by an error message, this is the app for you. Otherwise stay far away. 0 out of 5 stars, this app is like slapping a suntrust logo on a giant waste of time and calling it a banking app.
Deserves 0 stars. I will probably switch banks if this app does not improve. Every time I try to deposit a check it says mobile banking is not currently working, even though it has let me check balance, pay bills, right before I tried to deposit check. Have heard other mobile banking apps work very well, have never heard anyone say that suntrust's app works at all.
Don't bother with it. It is hit and miss. I have done 15 to 20 checks. Sometimes no problems, other times it says it can't read the check (even type written) or closes the app and returns to the homescreen. I even restored my phone to factory settings today, deleted and reinstalled app in iTunes and still had same problem.
Awful. Wasted 1 hour of my life trying to deposit 3 checks. All they say do is blame my Mobil device. I see everyone has the same issue.
If you can't do it right, don't do it. One day of mobile deposit being down is bad. Weeks of it is ridiculous. Suntrust could give a crap about its customers. Get rid of mobile deposit if you can't keep it up and running.

If I could give the app and the company 0 stars, I would. There is no access for for business accounts from a mobile standpoint. No taking pictures of checks for deposit like chase bank and many others. Terrible customer support on weekends. I am switching banks and never looking back. Worst bank ever.
When the mobile deposit feature does work, it is very limited. You cannot deposit more than a certain low amount every month and the check cannot exceed $1000. What bank does not want as much money as you care to deposit?!
I believe this app works fine. Only had issues from time to time in the last year, but other than that, I'm able to accomplish my basic banking needs efficiently.
