Many thanks again for a phenomenal app!!! I have used this app now for about 4 years and it has been a joy! This new version (2.13) adds more featured and is faster! Highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to keep up with their budget. It's still the fastest way to enter transactions into a budget. Previous version: After more than a year, I must say this is the best budget app out there. I hope more updates come soon. It has the fastest and best way to add a transaction of any other software out there. Previous version: I use this app on a daily basis about 3 or 5 times a day. I track all my expenses quickly and easily and it lets me know exactly how much of my budget I have left. There are a couple of things that could improved, but overall it is a fantastic app. The developer keeps sending updates that make the app far more worthwhile than its inexpensive price. This is definitely an app I recommend anyone how wants to manage their budget. Thanks!!

Great app but i updated on 11/12/12 and now its not working. I cant even open the app anymore

Excellent I've been using it for over 3 years is simple to use and it has all you need. Previous review: Is very easy to understand i use this app for 2 years and never lost any data from it(Adam Alharoon), is simple and has everything. Previous review: Decimal point extremely annoying please move it back to the numbers pad. Previous review : The last update nailed all, I've been using this app for over a year, it's pretty simple to understand and use, but at the same time it has all you need.

I've been using this app for over two years! I'm rather happy with it. I find the UI simple and nice. The graphs to keep track of spending per month and the password protection are great features! Simple to use, and crash-free! I wish it took advantage of the iPhone 5 larger screen also I wished it was updated more frequently.

I've been using this app for almost 2 years and I love it. Very stable, easy to use. Only wish I could see how much money I have left to spend in each category on the main screen and not have to tap on each category separately to see.

This app has been great for me up until this week. Now I can't even get the app to open. I click on the app and it thinks for a few seconds and then closes. I have tried restarting my iPod but nothing has worked yet. Please help me.

Great app! However, I think that you should expend/improve it by adding receipt scanning software (minimized resolution to save storage) that would capture each receipt using iPhone built in camera (back) and automatically integrate image into desired by user group expense/income category, and saved into your backup servers (depending on legal perspective). That way people would not have to write an essay on what those $10.99 went last week on Wednesday evening in "Other" expense category. After all, it is budget soft, right?! Thanks, Sashko

I got this because I had seen a couple positive reviews on a couple websites but the User Interface is awful, I didn't use it for months and when I went back to it at the begining of the year I could not for the life of me figure out how to log in my paycheck. I've since switched to the Mint.com app which is free and MUCH more user friendly; this app is not worth spending money on when there is a superior free competitor out there.

Had this for 2 years and never saw a decent update, does what it suppose to do, but eventually becomes boring, even free budget apps have a better interface then this app. By the end of this year will get rid of this and get a better app, with NICE INTERFACE.

If you're trying to stream line your budget you can start by not wasting your money on this app.

My husband and I are trying to stick to a monthly budget. Every month we would go over, splurge on something because we thought we had extra money, or feel guilty even if we could afford something because we didn't know for sure where we were with spending. This app is perfect for helping us stick to the program. I ended up erasing all the default labels and making just five for myself that we use, including one for my son, since I was splurging on him the most. It works very similar to other iPhone functions, like contact lists or texting. Took about fifteen minutes of playing around with it and got all of the features figured out. Takes about 10 seconds to add a transaction and label it. Cool stuff, will roll over if you don't spend it all. You can label the expense so you remember where the money went. You can set a label to not be part of the "other bills", ie Christmas Spending.

This app is worse than a free app I got.

I've had this app for over a year now, and I'm still waiting for a much needed update. It would be a 5 star app if it could actually subtract from your balance when making a transaction. Instead it adds to it no matter what. As the YouTubers like to say so often, FAIL!!!

My wife and I started a financial system a year ago that used a modified check register to be able to track all expenses (When you track your money you control it). I wanted to get away from the check book and a paper book, so I tried a few of the money apps. I really liked Day Bank which is good for tracking your current balances, but I wanted categories and totals for those categories. I track my accounts separately. Budget just fit the bill exactly for what I wanted. This app is perhaps a little confusing at first, but all the features I wanted were there. The export to CSV let me send my records to my computer to file a backup at the end of the month and make plans for the next month all on my computer. But I get the convenience of having all my categories and totals with me in my pocket. Someone said they can't see/edit the expenses the've entered in. There are "magic" click spots - if you click on the number to the right of the category, you get a quick entry mode. If you click on the category name you get either a pull up with options, one of which is to see the transactions, or you can configure it to just jump directly to the transactions for that category (set this in the application options). All in all, a very well done app. With frequent updates, it's just getting better.

I love all of the features this app has to offer. it's not too difficult and not too simplistic. The only problem that I have with it is that if you make a mistake with an added transaction you can't fix it and it stays on the list of transactions incorrectly. That's a hue bummer. Also, I wish that you could add a weekly budget amount and have it subtract as you add transactions so you know how much you have to work with. The closes thing is the tally at the bottom but it's so incredibly small and hard to read that it doesn't hold you accountable enough for what you're doing. What it does it does well but it's missing these few key features that would definitely make it a 5 star. Unfortunately the first comment I made is a pretty big problem. One mistake and your whole week is off because you can't fix it. OH, one other thing that would be GREAT is if you could add a note to an added transaction. I can live without it but it would be a bonus.

This is the best app I have it does keep track perfectly.I can't live without it. I have detailed records to the penny on any expense for over a year. Great

I really want to use this software. but difficult to understand some of the features which there is no explanation. where is the manual? gonna check out their website...

I love this app and think it is great the only thing they could do to make this app the best is to allow you to take pictures of receipts and put it with the entry in notes!! This would help me keep track of receipts better when a detail of the expense is necessary instead of typing it all in manually!!

I have not yet used this app to its full potential but like it so far. I sure wish I were able to access all the items in my "Description" lists. I am able to keep adding new descriptors (like all the different stores where I buy groceries) but am unable to choose more the about three of them because the list does not scroll. That seems like it would be an easy fix.

This app is fantastic! It has some bells & whistles that I don't use, but the basic app is the perfect tool. Not cluttered, easy interface, no web connection necessary - and it allows you to customize & put in as much or as little info as you want. This may be the best app I've bought in awhile!

Can we please get an update? It's been almost a year since this app has been updated. Look at what the other budget apps are doing and refresh this app please!!!!!

We bought this app and have used it for about two months, and all of a sudden it won't even open on my wife's iPhone or my iTouch. Please update and fix this! We have lots of important info there now.

This app is wonderful and has made me realize how much money I could be saving if I didn't waste it on stupid crap. My only problem is retina support...when will that be added?? I have this app on my home screen and it looks horrid next to my crystal clear icons. Please please please add retina support, the icon looks awesome in the app store!

Overall a pretty good app for a buck. Two complaints: under new transactions, the notes area of this app needs a way to input certain items you use often so that you can scroll through them and chose rather than having to type them repeatedly. The second is small and that is this app needs an update concerning aesthetics. Maybe a few colors to chose from instead of the blue. Just a thought. Great app but could be better with a few tweaks here and there. Thanks!

I was looking for an app to help me budget.. and i bought this one.. not too impressed yet.

Great companion for the envelope system. Wish it was a little more aesthetically pleasing or customizable. But still... 5 stars!

support for iPhone 4!

All I was looking for was something where I could specify an amount (i.e. $300 for entertainment) then make deductions as I use the money. You can make "transactions" but it doesn't subtract the money and keep a running tab... which defeats the purpose. I also have to enter the money as income instead of budget. Over it.

I've been using an excel spreadsheet for years and I wanted to find an app that was simple but similar to that and this is the one! I've downloaded a total of 6 apps that have all been disappointing so I'm happy to have found this one!

Very intuitive. Play around with it & you'll learn it fairly quickly, unless you're an illiterate. Useful tip: clicking on category NAME will bring you to a different screen than clicking on the ARROW after category name. Allows expenses to be repeated in next month's budget. Awesome. Thanks for adding a password in recent update!

i've been trying different budget apps, for a few months now. Not finding nothing like this one. this one you can make your own catagories, erase, edit by month, biweekly, weekly. You can have a budget for your business, another for home and so on. you can export, budgets. I was able to customize this app to the way I like my budget to be. Seriously. you will not be dissappointed.

Great to keep track of monthly finances

I just bought this app and it wont stay opened. Closes right away, I have re-synced, turned off my phone and nothing. know its only 99cents, but I want it to work!

Good app used it for years, but I've had enough of not having fast app switching and auto-fill for the description. Thus I went elsewhere.

Great app

I've tried several budget apps, and this one wins for me. There aren't too many bells and whistles, but it is highly customizable and does everything I need. I use it for tracking expenses and to make sure I set aside enough money for car payments, vet bills, rent, school expenses, etc every paycheck. It's easy to transfer budgeted funds from one category to another I'd necessary, and recording a transaction is as simple as clicking on a category and punching in the cost. You can't use this to manage assets, investments, loan payments or credit cards, but for dealing with bank accounts and standard budgeting it's a great app and well worth your money.

Good app but can you make a bi weekly option for recurring transactions?

I downloaded this app because I needed a cheap simple way to record daily transaction data before moving it to my computer. I was pleasantly surprised with how fully featured it is. This does everything I could reasonably ask out of a $1 mobile budgeting app. Adam, to avoid losing data at every update, use the backup feature before updating then restore your data if you need. It's not perfect, but it works.

My wife and I each got it, and we share transactions across iPhones. It's helping us construct a new budget for the new year. There's a lot of back and forth to enter info, but the presentation is clear.

Is there a way to have your current balance transfer over every month (cycle)? I want to keep a running balance and the only way I can do this is to create a category called "Savings" or "Remainder" and put the remaining money in that category at the end of the month. Is this a feature you can add or is it one I am completely missing?

the app does help me with keeping my budget but the problem it has an update every 2-3 weeks and if u did update it all data will be lost so u'll have to start all over again. Other than that the app will help.

Does everything I need it to. Recurring transactions are an excellent feature. Can't wait for multitasking fix.

My husband & I can't seem to sync this app via wifi. System keeps saying there's no one to sync with. Sending via email works but is a bit more of a pain. What's up with this? Otherwise seems like a great app. Thanks! 3 stars.

Update: Thanks for listening, and moving the decimal back to the original location. I use this app more than any other. It is easy to set up, and the flexibility is outstanding. This budget app can be as simple or nearly as complex as you need. I use it to monitor and plan my spending, and it's easy to track trends from month to month. Plus, the interface is clean and simple, making it easy to add transactions immediately. Finally, the developer has done an excellent job of listening to comments and implementing improvements in semi-regular updates. Fantasic app!

This is a great app. It does everything that I want in a budget application. Five stars!

The latest versions export csv files as attachments, which makes it effortless to import into Excel.

really like this app. the only thing i would like to see different is now that OS4 allows for multi-tasking, i wanted to know if the app can ask for the password every time you go to access it. for instance, if you are working in the app and exit, there is no logout option. moreover, if you double click the home key to see what apps are running, you can tap on this one and get right in without reentering your password (password1 requires you to reenter your password before allowing you to access any info). having no logoff or reentering of the password option is not cool if someone is using your phone and you forget to close out the app on the multi-task bar. maybe it can be a feature you an enable, for those people like me that just want that added protection.
