I enjoy reading books on the iBook app. One suggestion I have is: to make the experience more realistic - when you are on the first page, there should not be a stack of pages underneath it...and as you read into the book, the stack of pages on the right and left should increase and decrease just as they would if you were reading an actual tome. A trivial detail perhaps, but I bet one that Mr. jobs would find worthy
now i can read books n e where i go.

When I no longer want books on my shelve, I would like to delete permanently, not just put in another place. Unwanted books are unwanted books!
If its a ibook put books by acual people not just random people when ever i search The Hunger Games it comes with random people and quizs terrible app delete

A lot of reviews talk about crashes and books being lost but I have never had a problem. I've read plenty of books on this app and it's great. The PDF reader is also very useful. A+
Love this app. I've downloaded so many books to read on my iPad. I would love for there to be some additional features for the app: (1) be able to create different folders to group/organize specific books together and (2) be able to create a personal favorite authors list and/or notification system that would let me know when my favorite authors have released a new title.
I love iBooks on my iPad and iPhone, but why is there no iBooks app for Mac desktops and notebooks? While a lot of users are casual readers, a large number also use e-books for academic or reference work. What good is a book on my iPad when I'm working on my desktop?

I've been using this to archive my PDF's. Larger files don't have the Email option. Please include an "open in" option so that I can share my PDFs as I please. Terrible oversight.
Last two updates, the software constantly looses my place in the book I'm reading, instead opening the book at the beginning. In a couple occasions its even forgotten which book I was reading and opened the previous one! Attempts to log into the support areas to report the problem result in a round robin of login, login again, be told to create user name, be told theres already an account under that email, submit for new password, login, login again, be told to create user name.....
I don't have any problems with it and it has a great selection, sometimes I would like to read a book and cannot find it in here but other than that very good! Thank you :)))
Was excellent util recently. Came here to see if anyone else was experiencing problems recently, and I see I am not alone. This app has been a very good friend for a long time. Now I consistently have problems with books not opening, or freezing while open. I would greatly appreciate an update so I can return to spending quality time with my "friend"
Love it but please add the handwriting feature. It would be awesome to jot down handwritten notes!

I love this app so far. All the books download quickly, and the app never crashes. However, there are annoying spelling errors. They are everywhere, and it's quite irritating. I'm certain these mistakes aren't in the actual books, so perhaps get a more efficient editor? Haha...

This app was perfect until the most recent update. Now I can't browse the book store without it crashing immediately. I can't look for and buy new books now with all the dysfunction! Please fix it. Using the original iPad.

Used to LOVE this app until I updated my iPod to iOS 6. The store charged me 11$ for a book I didn't tap on! I was very upset and deleted it because I don't want to risk any more random purchases! Please fix this app! On the flip side, it was a book that I did really want... But still! Really annoying!

Ibooks app has the best book theme and sepia theme. It looks better than the kindle app and the google books app.. It actually shows the page crease in the middle and book outline on the outside, which makes it feel more like a real book rather than a computer/ pad screen.
It's awful it took 30 mins to download it won't let me actually get in the app in just goes back to the home page it is really stressful don't waist your time with app.
I have had no troubles. I have over 50 books I have bought. I gave the suggestion tho to have 'bookends' as I read many from the same authors but they have a series of a few books with the same characters. Also having more than 1 color bookmark. 1 for the usual bookmark & another to reference pages. Also it would be great to be able to delete more than 1 bookmark at a time - like you can emails & other items. It is a gray app tho!
I love using this app to read my books. The fact that sometimes highlighting turns on when I'm just scrolling down the page is annoying. Also it gets really annoying having to change the font size repeatedly for different books when all the books have the ability to have the same font type. Also for some reason the new label on books don't really disappear even after opening the book.
Doesn't support highlighting and note taking with PDFs.
Ibooks will not be a complete ebook app until annotation for pdf's is added. Come on Apple!!! This is not just a mere want, this is an absolute necessity!
Most frustrating App I have. Usually takes 4-5 times accessing Store before I can download a book. Then it will drop in the middle of downloads, drop when changing categories, etc. since this is the only way to download iBooks seems like it would a lot better. No where to get assistance making this work right.
My iBooks just keeps crashing. It not only doesn't let me view the text book samples, it goes to that grey flannel screen and doesn't allow any of my other books to load...or for that matter to even show my library. Deleted and reinstalled. Does not help...will wait for patch. ;) perhaps 2.0.1 will be next. The little I did view was impressive but a long way to go before any classrooms can depend on it.
I can no longer open iBooks. It crashes every time a couple of seconds after opening. Come on Apple, read the recent reviews, do something about it. It's YOUR app.
I use iBooks for everything. But recently I've had to work off of only PDFs and this lack is disheartening that there are higher featured apps out there but without the reliability of apple. So please prove you have the best software and add this small feature.

I'm a Ph. D. Candidate and a heavy user of this app on my New iPad. It was perfect (despite the impossibility of highlight PDF's) until the last update. It became horribly slow and takes a while to start. Before it, open a PDF file was pretty fast, even with a considerable amount of files, and now you have to wait twice: for the app starts and for files being loaded. It's faster and better to read PDFs inside Dropbox than iBooks.
The current version crashes whenever I try to launch the store. I tried closing all apps, restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling. Nothing helped. Bummer!
There is a crash problem in my iPad every time I open the app and to the store the app crashes and turns my iPad off. Fix the problem!!!!!

Since updating iBooks and purchasing a volume from the store, I cannot open the app at all, and the App Store won't let me reinstall the program. Very annoying!

Since one of the last updates it does not let me import attachments from my email which i want to use later
I've had this app for a while, but since the new update I have NOT been able to open the store (the button is grayed out), thus NO-BUENO!!! 👎 And I see that I'm not the only one with this problem...PLEASE FIX 💔...
Please add this feature : when i open a pdf i can have the ability to highlight and save lines ... Please do because i couldn't find an easy app to help me do that :(!
